background Bruce Bingham has been actively involved in valuations, mergers and acquisitions, litigation support and other financial consulting matters, since 1978. In his current position, Mr. Bingham is responsible for all of Capstone's valuation activities in the United States and internationally. Mr. Bingham is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers, specializing in business valuation. He is a current board member of ASA, the recent past Chairman of the ASA Business Valuation Committee and a founding member of the AICPA Business Valuation and Appraisal Subcommittee. He currently chairs the Workgroup of the International Valuation Standards Committee that is writing the IVSC standard on Intangible Asset Valuation. Also, Mr. Bingham is a retired Brigadier General in the U. S. Army Reserves.

Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Bingham was Senior Managing Director of Trenwith Valuation, LLC and until June, 2004 was the National Practice Director of Valuation Services for BDO Seidman, LLP. Before BDO, Mr. Bingham was the Principal in Charge of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP's New York Appraisal/Valuation practice. Before attending graduate school, he was a commercial loan officer at a major New England bank. Mr. Bingham has directed over one thousand engagements involving private equity, intangible assets and intellectual property, divisions of public entities, companies entering or emerging from bankruptcy, allocating acquired assets and providing advice to boards of directors. His valuation experience covers a full spectrum of industries from hospitality to manufacturing and high technology. He has been involved in several major litigation support projects as an expert witness before Federal and state courts and arbitration panels. The results from Mr. Bingham's valuation projects have been used for the following purposes: FAS 141/142 Compliance, going private or public, litigation and expert testimony, reorganizations, lost profits & business interruption claims, strategic planning, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, ownership succession, corporate recapitalizations, joint ventures and strategic alliances, as well as buy/sell agreements and income, gift, and estate taxes.
education Mr. Bingham received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rutgers College in 1968, and his Master's Degree in Public and Private Management from The Yale School of Organization and Management in 1978.
