Christopher Kearns is an Executive Director with Capstone Advisory Group, LLC and is based in the New York office. He has served as Responsible Officer and Trustee, and has provided expert testimony in various jurisdictions on matters of contract breach, valuation, solvency, liquidation and distressed situations. Mr. Kearns has advised major investment banks and potential purchasers on acquisition strategies and post-merger integration.

Mr. Kearns specializes in financial restructuring advisory and crisis management services in the troubled company environment and provides value-added representation to all parties-in-interest.
Industry experience includes consumer products, retail, construction and engineering, pharmaceuticals and medical products, energy, manufacturing and distribution, apparel, sporting goods, aerospace, waste management, electronics, communications and document management.
Prior to co-founding Capstone, Mr. Kearns was a Senior Managing Director at the Policano & Manzo legacy practice of FTI Consulting; he was also with the predecessor firm Kahn Consulting for fourteen years. He also served as co-leader of the Firms' New York office. Previously, he spent three years with Bristol-Myers Squibb in assignments that included Assistant Corporate Controller. He also spent ten years in the mergers and acquisitions group and the audit practice of a major international public accounting firm.

Mr. Kearns holds a BBA in Accounting from Iona College. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Turnaround Professional and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor. His memberships include the AICPA, New York State Society of CPAs, and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. He is a past president of the New York chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and Chairman Emeritus of the New York City Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He is a member of the Board of Director for AAIPharma Inc. and has served on the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York, and on the boards of a manufacturer and a service company.
